Yarmouth Mariner Centre

The twin ice surfaces for this arena and community centre were designed in 2000, with an extension added to one arena in 2005.  As requested by the owners, the structure was a very economical design.  The choice for the structure was made with regard to local available materials and came in well under budget.  The exterior structure is comprised of load bearing pre-cast insulated panels with a steel joist/deck roof structure. Interior is comprised of structural steel elements and concrete.  The success of the arena allowed for the viewing area of the main arena to be extended in 2005.
